INTERNET INFLUENCE ON TEENAGERS

Nowadays, all teenagers have a smartphone where they are able to download apps like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc. The problem is that some teenagers pay to much attention to what social media says. If a trend appears, they will copy it and that's not okay because in some cases bad things happen. I'm going to mention some cases where teenagers do some stupid things just because a video went viral. The first one is about a song called 'Soap' of a British artist called Melanie Martinez. Some people had the 'incredible' idea of washing their mouth with soap because a verse of the song says 'Guess I better wash my mouth out with soap'. Some adult people blamed the artist but she didn't have the guilt of anything because the ones that decided to do that were the teenagers that washed up their mouth with soap. Another one is the 'Kylie Jenner lip challenge'; it's about putting on your lips a shot glass or something similar until your lips get swollen like her's. As you can imagine, this didn't happen as teenagers expected. Some of them got bruises on their lips and wounds. This is not also Kylie Jenner's fault. The last one I'm going to talk about is the 'Cinnamon challenge'. It is about putting in your mouth a spoon with cinnamon and try to eat it. Some teenagers had suffocation problems and also lungs infection. To sum up, teenagers seem to be very innocent on the internet and if they see adult people doing things like that, obviously, they will copy them.
