Many people think that art as a subject in schools and high schools is a waste of time. In my opinion, I do not agree. I think art is something that gives you creativity and helps you to train your imagination. If the government quit art in schools, children will not have an 'escape route' from maths, history, etc. It is normal that some children dislike the subject because they do not know how to draw and that type of things but I think that this subject is not about that. This subject is focused on developing children's imagination and creativity. Also in high school, I remember when in my first years I had art and drawing classes, I loved them because these are classes where you can work and talk with your classmates at the same time, also listening to music. You could disconnect for an hour of the journey and at the same time develop your creativity. Art helps you to have a more open mind. So, people that think that art is a waste of time do not know what it is exactly and do not know how to assess the need for creative expression.
